During the past week, we learned about networking. We researched different media and explored their advantages, and disadvantages. Such media include twisted, wireless, microwave and satellites. These forms of communication are very useful and popular in the 21st century.
We also had a chance to review ergonomics and had were tested on our knowledge by the end of the week. Ergonomics is the study that tries to improve equipments used in work spaces in order to make the employee work more efficiently. By studying ergonomics I can now apply my knowledge while working at the computer and prevent such injuries as the CTS, and CTD.
We also started our final project which is worth 10 percent of our total marks. We work in groups of three and try to complete challenges successfully in order to gain a hundred points in total. By working together and solving problems as a group we are able to work more efficiently and meet our goals.

Weekly Status Report
The past week has gone by rather slowly and it speeds up as soon as I start having fun. This week, we expanded our knowledge about arrays and we worked on a complicated series of programs that are meant to determine different things about the number of lottery tickets that are input by the owner.
At first glance this program seemed rather complicated and difficult, but with the help of my friends and peers, I was able to pull through and use extensive knowledge to create an efficient and successful program.
We have also started learning about ergonomics and how they affect our daily lives. Ergonomics is very useful, and I have already used my knowledge to create a better working space when I am using the computer. This week, was yet another week filled with anxieties, worries and successes.

Weekly Status Report
This week we learned all about while loops. While loops are generally used when we don’t know how many times we have to run the loop, unlike the For-Next loops which specify how many times the program should run.
We worked on a major project called the SIN number validation. This program gets an SIN number and determines whether it is valid or not. At first this project seemed quite complicated, but with great effort and logic I was able to run a successful and efficient program.
Lastly, we learned about drawing on visual basic, although it is not part of the curriculum, I am glad that we learned how to use visual basics to draw lines as well as circles. Overall this week was one of the best ones yet!

During this past week we have been working with loops which allow you to run a program continuously and we also learned about nested loops, which are loops that run within another loop.
We traced some programs and wrote down the output in pars. We also wrote a stopwatch program that we could reset. Although stopwatches can be quite useful they have many flaws. One of such flaw is that the timer does not go by exactly as it should, and can’t run for more than a minuet at a time.
Overall this past week has been quite interesting. We ended the week with a challenging test that tested our knowledge in loops, the different types of operators and also the variables used in visual basics.

At the beginning of this week we were assigned into groups to work on the most interesting and complicated program so far. The program that we would have to create enabled the user to input their own custom pizza and do a variety of algorithms to find out the accurate price of the user's order.
We encountered multiple problems but with the help of fellow students, the teacher, and by communicating and cooperating with each other we were able to finish our project on time.
I found this project incredibly insightful and enjoyable compared to other projects, partly because we were able to work in pairs, and also because this program was a great challenge that tested our knowledge in computer programing.

Status Report
The past week has been yet another long and challenging one. During the first few days we were working on an assignment that included a listbox from which you could choose an action that would be preformed by the program. I faced many problems with this program, but in the end I was able to debug the program and successfully complete the project.
Another challenge that we faced during this week was creating a payroll application that calculate the employee’s gross pay, tax and net pay. To make this program more efficient we added a menu and dialogue box that could be used to change the hourly rate and the tax rate to the user’s wishes.
Overall this week was a challenging one that tested our knowledge throughly and pushed us to new levels in computer engineering.

During the past week we have explored different programs by using different functions. As the programs get more complicated, so does the process that we have to go through to create the program. The more sophisticated the program, the harder it is for us as students to develop it.
By learning and exploring the different use of many functions, we are now able to create better and more efficient programs. I believe that we are slowly working our way up to the future, where we can create even better programs. I personally cannot wait!

Status Report

Yet another frustrating and exciting week has gone by. Our projects are getting more complicated as we are introduced to new ideas such as making decisions in a program, or documentation. As the complications of these projects increase so does the intensity in which we have to work in.
Even though the projects seem impossible to complete and difficult to endure, it is the most satisfying feeling when you solve the problem on your own and find out that you may pass the course after all.
I think that this week has been the most important week so far as I realized that if you try hard you can solve the problems and that nothing gets accomplished by accepting defeat.

This week has been the most exciting and frustrating week in the course so far. We learned more about programs, and how to apply the knowledge we have gained in the past weeks to create a program on visual basics.
Programming is nothing like I thought it would be. It's not just about a bunch of people gazing into the screen, and typing away. It requires a lot of thought, and a series of steps that must be followed for the program to work. Sure there is some typing but it's mostly the use of logic.
I found it quite difficult to comprehend at first, and I never seemed to the right thing. There were so many errors with my program that I was completely overwhelmed, but with the help of my beloved friends, I managed to pull through by the end of the week and create something that I was truly proud of.

During this past week I spent most of my time trying to customize my website so that it represented my personality. I tweaked with the settings on the website and used the colors that I prefer, and expressed myself under the ‘favorites’ element. I added one of my favorite images of a rose in my introductions blog and enabled a mail-to-blogger feature to make creating postings easier.
The biggest challenge that I faced was putting on my favorite music. I didn’t know how to start, or where to get my music. But by asking my helpful little friends,I figured out how to put on music, which is probably my favorite thing on this whole blog!
I think that I would like to change this plain black background, and replace it with a picture that perhaps I have created. I guess we’ll see how far I get by next week won’t we?

I want music!!!
oh god...it just keep getting harder and harder to deal
with this internet thing doesnt it?
I dont seem to know how to get music on here,
lets hope the 'interenet' will prove itself helpful.
