The past week has been yet another long and challenging one. During the first few days we were working on an assignment that included a listbox from which you could choose an action that would be preformed by the program. I faced many problems with this program, but in the end I was able to debug the program and successfully complete the project.
Another challenge that we faced during this week was creating a payroll application that calculate the employee’s gross pay, tax and net pay. To make this program more efficient we added a menu and dialogue box that could be used to change the hourly rate and the tax rate to the user’s wishes.
Overall this week was a challenging one that tested our knowledge throughly and pushed us to new levels in computer engineering.

Status Report
During the past week we have explored different programs by using different functions. As the programs get more complicated, so does the process that we have to go through to create the program. The more sophisticated the program, the harder it is for us as students to develop it.
By learning and exploring the different use of many functions, we are now able to create better and more efficient programs. I believe that we are slowly working our way up to the future, where we can create even better programs. I personally cannot wait!

Status Report

Yet another frustrating and exciting week has gone by. Our projects are getting more complicated as we are introduced to new ideas such as making decisions in a program, or documentation. As the complications of these projects increase so does the intensity in which we have to work in.
Even though the projects seem impossible to complete and difficult to endure, it is the most satisfying feeling when you solve the problem on your own and find out that you may pass the course after all.
I think that this week has been the most important week so far as I realized that if you try hard you can solve the problems and that nothing gets accomplished by accepting defeat.
